Store Front Improvements

Over the past several years we have worked diligently towards the revitalization of Park Avenue.  By utilizing a matching funds program sponsored by the county we have been able to assist small business owners in receiving a grant that cover 50% of all improvements made to their store front facades.  We are actively working to have this entire project completed by the end of the spring.

Park Avenue Hotel

Many residents expressed their concern over the neighborhood nuisances caused by the Park Avenue Hotel.  As a result we shut the hotel down and this year, using grant money, we purchased the Park Avenue Hotel and knocked it down.  In it’s place will be a new Senior Citizen housing, which is a much more suitable fit to the neighborhood.
