The Weehawken & You team is focused on stable leadership, strong neighborhoods, public safety, responsible planning, and continued investment in the services residents rely on.

Richard F. Turner

Mayor

Richard F. Turner has proudly served as Mayor of Weehawken and has helped guide the Township through decades of progress, stability, and community investment.

Under his leadership, Weehawken has expanded parks and recreational facilities, strengthened public safety services, and maintained a strong partnership with the Weehawken School District to support local families.

He remains committed to responsible planning, fiscal stability, and continued investment in the services and programs that make Weehawken a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Robert J. Sosa

Councilman-at-Large

Robert J. Sosa has proudly served the residents of Weehawken as Councilman-at-Large and remains deeply committed to maintaining the high-quality services residents have come to expect.

He has supported investments in parks, recreation, infrastructure improvements, and public safety initiatives while helping maintain fiscal stability for the community.

A lifelong resident and graduate of Weehawken High School, Bob brings valuable experience from service on the Regional Sewer Authority, Environmental Commission, and Parking Authority.

Carmela Silvestri-Ehret

First Ward Councilwoman

Carmela Silvestri-Ehret has proudly served the residents of Weehawken’s First Ward, focusing on stronger neighborhoods, public safety, and programs that benefit residents of all ages.

Before joining the Township Council, she served for many years on the Weehawken Board of Education and remains a strong advocate for education and community development.

Her professional background in the financial services industry brings valuable experience and fiscal awareness to local government.

Susan Morales-Jennings

Second Ward Councilwoman Candidate

Susan Morales-Jennings is a lifelong Hudson County resident and a strong advocate for education, community service, and responsible local government.

She has served on the Weehawken Board of Education, Township Planning Board, and Library Board, and currently serves as a Board Member of the Hudson County Schools of Technology.

She supports affordable housing, strong rent protections, stable taxes, public safety, and the high-quality services Weehawken residents deserve.

David J. Curtis

Third Ward Councilman

David J. Curtis proudly represents the residents of Weehawken’s Third Ward and brings decades of experience in construction management and public safety to his work on the Township Council.

He currently serves as the Township’s School Construction Manager, overseeing important improvements and investments in Weehawken’s educational facilities. With more than 35 years of experience in construction and project management, he provides valuable expertise in planning and infrastructure development throughout the Township.

Dave also served for over three decades with North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, including as Deputy Fire Chief, bringing significant leadership and public safety experience to the Council.
